| | Sarah, of course. | ] | In a follow up to my previous entry (the talent competition one). I've created a simple page for Sarah at www.sarahriches.co.uk where you can hear her sing for yourselves. Please take a look (and listen!) and vote if you feel it's appropriate.
Thanks for looking. |

| Begging Post, Sadly |
[Oct. 7th, 2009|04:04 pm] |
I feel bad that this is my first real post in ages (although I have turned off LoudTwitter now) but I think it's worth the effort.
My colleague and friend, Sarah Riches, recently took part in Open Mic UK (a national talent competition like X Factor) and reached the regional final which was this Saturday in Leamington Spa. Unfortunately she was not voted through to the final. I suspect the 100 audience members (out of 500) wearing matching t-shirts had something to it but anyway. There is, however, a wildcard entry which can be voted for by text message.
I don't normally beg like this but if people can spare the £1 to vote then please do so as she really deserves to win as she's a fantastic singer and a wonderful person to boot. To vote, text wildcard87 to 84222. I remind you again that it's £1 to vote so I understand entirely if people don't. This is of course only available in the UK as those shortcodes don't work internationally.
If I get her permission I may post a recording I did on my iPhone during a rehearsal so you know I'm not talking complete bollocks.
Thanks |
